An outbreak of acute intestinal infection among children was detected in the Yuri Gagarin children's health camp in the Engels district of the Saratov region. This was announced on July 26 in the press service of the Department of Rospotrebnadzor for the region in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that samples of drinking water, pool water, raw materials and ready meals were taken for the study. Biological material has also been selected to check the camp staff.

At the same time, according to the results of the analysis of the material from the patients, norovirus RNA was detected. Currently, measures regarding the remaining samples are continuing. In addition, a set of anti-epidemic measures is being implemented.
