Fighters of the Center group of forces told about the liberation of Novoekonomichesky

Soldiers of the 5th Guards Brigade of the 51st Guards Army, as part of the Center group of forces, told Izvestia about the liberation of the settlement of Novoeconomichoe in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"We entered secretly, secretly. When we stopped by, there was no impact, which means that we were not noticed. Motorcycles jumped in as close as possible, dismounted. Then the groups were already rolling in twos," said a fighter with the call sign Chance in an interview with Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin.

According to him, there were fighters with foreign chevrons among the opponents. He clarified that it was these mercenaries who provided the main resistance, while the Ukrainian military more often left their positions and retreated.

The fighter noted that the Russian aviation actively supported the offensive. He explained that when the aircraft approached, a characteristic sound was heard and the fighters instinctively ducked. According to him, the airstrikes were effective and the activity of enemy drones significantly decreased in the days after the operation of aviation.

Grenade launcher assistant Asylbek Shuenbekov said that protracted shooting battles practically do not occur, because, according to him, the enemy tries to avoid them and immediately rolls back. Shuenbekov added that after clearing the settlement, the units quickly recharge and continue to move, coordinating by radio and receiving commands from the drone operators.

In addition, platoon commander of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Mikhail Malikov noted the widespread use of drones by the enemy.

"Engineers make them for remote detonation. We fly up to the drone, press the button — detonation occurs and, accordingly, the drone falls," he said.

On July 24, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the villages of Novoeconomicheskoe and Zverevo. It was noted that the points were liberated by the group of troops "Center" in the Red Army direction. According to the Ministry of Defense, the offensive operation of the assault units was carried out with the support of artillery calculations and FPV attack drones, which knocked out the enemy from fortified positions, clearing the territory of the village.
