Three people died as a result of a truck hitting two cars in the Moscow region.

A truck driver in the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region ran over two cars that stopped due to an accident. As a result of the accident, both car drivers and a nine-year-old child were killed. This was announced on Saturday, July 26, by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"According to preliminary information, a 47-year—old driver, driving a truck with a Scania semi-trailer, hit two Lexus and Lada cars that stopped on the right side of the road due to an accident," the department's Telegram channel clarified.

The regional prosecutor's office reported that a criminal case has been opened against the truck driver under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence").
