Saratov residents provided humanitarian assistance to residents of the house affected by the gas explosion

As a result of a gas explosion and the collapse of structures in a multi-storey building in Saratov, apartments collapsed from the first to the 10th floor, and the area is strewn with debris and broken glass. Footage of the aftermath of the incident on July 25 is published by Izvestia.

"Apartments from the first to the 10th floor collapsed, the building literally came apart at the seams. There are piles of broken glass underfoot. You can see that there are wrecked cars everywhere on the residential street," said correspondent Vladislav Kharchenko.

In addition, some residents of the city collected humanitarian aid for the injured residents of the house near the temporary accommodation center. The girls noted that they heard a loud bang, after which they saw information about the explosion in the media and decided to support the residents of the area.

"We came to help the injured people <... >. My neighbors and I <...> decided to collect humanitarian aid — someone helped with money, someone with things. We've put it all together, organized it. We bought the most necessary things: napkins, water, toilet paper," said one of the girls who organized the collection of help.

The explosion in a multi-storey building in Saratov occurred on July 25. A criminal case has been opened into the incident regarding the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. A regional state of emergency has been declared in the Saratov Region.

According to the latest data, the number of victims as a result of the explosion and the collapse of the structures of the house has increased to nine people. In addition, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, called for prompt payments to be sent to the affected residents of the house.
