In Yakutia, a 53-year-old man lost 1.3 million rubles due to fraudsters. The scammers communicated on behalf of the "intercom service".
According to IA YakutiaMedia, the attackers offered the man to install keyless entry. To confirm the application, the Yakut agreed to dictate the code from an SMS message. Then the victim was contacted by a woman who introduced herself as an employee of Rosfinmonitoring. She convinced the man that a power of attorney was allegedly issued on his behalf for a person who is on the federal wanted list.
The Yakut man began to follow the instructions of the scammers on the phone. He transferred his savings through ATMs to other accounts.
Another victim of fraud was a 70-year-old pensioner. She wanted to receive income from investments and transferred over 500 thousand rubles to outside accounts.
In the Trans-Baikal Territory, four people transferred 3.4 million rubles to false brokers.
