- One of the victims of the crash of the AN-24 near Tynda was traveling on a business trip from St. Petersburg
Eleonora B., one of those killed in the crash of the An-24 aircraft operated by Angara Airlines in the Amur Region, was on her way to the region on a business trip from St. Petersburg. Anastasia, the daughter of the deceased, told Izvestia about this on July 24.
The girl said that for a long time she could not find out what happened to her mother, and Anastasia's colleagues told her about the incident.
"At first they said she wasn't on the list, then they said she was. That's all now, they said that the rescuers had arrived, there were no survivors. There is no hope," the girl said.
She shared that her mother was the chief engineer of the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) project and went to the Amur region on a business trip, keeping in touch with her husband. Anastasia said that her mother had sent her a video of the plane, which she considered to be in terrible condition. In particular, it seemed to her that a wing might be torn out of the ship in the air.
The AN-24 passenger plane crashed in the Amur region, 15 km from the city of Tynda on July 24. The aircraft was flying on the Khabarovsk – Blagoveshchensk –Tynda route when communication with it was lost. Later, his burning fuselage was found on the ground. All passengers and crew members were killed.
A criminal case was opened after the plane crash. Among the versions of the crash, investigators are considering the human factor and a technical malfunction.
