In the Sverdlovsk region, surgeons at a local hospital restored the skull of a veteran of a special military operation using 3D technology. This was reported on July 24 in the press service of the Ministry of Health of the region.
"The specialists conducted 3D modeling of the skull, recreated a virtual prototype of the anatomical shape, and then, in the 3D technology laboratory of the hospital, they produced an individual tantalum-titanium plate that exactly matches the volume and contour of the destroyed area," the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that the captain suffered a head wound during artillery fire with the destruction of more than 90% of the frontal, temporal and parietal bones of the skull, as well as the frontal sinuses and nasal bones. At the same time, the patient's condition stabilized after surgery. The man is currently enrolled in an early rehabilitation program.
