The Ministry of Health has developed new rules for registration of sick leave

If a person has taken sick leave four times in six months, the attending physician will be required to contact the medical board. The agency announced the new rules developed by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on July 24.

"If in the six months preceding the date of seeking medical help, the disability certificate was issued four times or more, the attending physician transmits the medical documentation to the medical commission, which will improve the quality of medical care to citizens of working age," the ministry said in a statement.

This does not take into account cases of caring for a sick child and family members, rehabilitation, or receiving help for socially significant illnesses.
