Weather conditions are expected to worsen in Moscow and the Moscow region by the end of the day on July 24. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region reported this on Thursday, July 24.

"In the next hour, heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail and heavy wind strengthening up to 17 m/s are expected in some places in the Moscow Region until the end of the day on July 24," the Moscow City News agency quotes the message.

Due to the worsening weather, the ministry recommended motorists to slow down, increase the distance, and avoid sudden maneuvers. Pedestrians should avoid billboards and rickety structures, and avoid hiding under trees. Children should not be left unattended.

Earlier in the day, the Hydrometeorological Center predicted partly cloudy weather in the capital, short-term rain in some places, thunderstorms in some areas and up to +27 degrees.
