In the Karaidelsky district of Bashkiria, a car fell from a 70-meter cliff into a river. According to preliminary information, the female driver was killed, and the passenger managed to escape - he got ashore on his own. This was announced on July 24 by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Bashkortostan.

"It was reported that a Hyundai Santa Fe car fell from a 70-meter cliff into the Yuryuzan River near the village of Karayar, Karaidel district. There was a 42-year-old woman and a 37—year-old passenger in the car," the agency's Telegram channel said.

It is noted that the man got ashore on his own, he was taken to the hospital. Eyewitnesses removed the woman from the car without signs of life. Investigators and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working on the site, the causes of the incident are being established.

On July 21, in Yakutia, a shift bus left the road and overturned, killing 14 people and injuring seven others. The bus fell from a height of about 25 m. There were about 36 people in the car.
