A criminal case has been opened into the deaths of three people during construction work in the south of Moscow. This was announced on Thursday, July 24, by the Moscow Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of safety rules during construction or other work that negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons")," the agency's Telegram channel clarified.

Investigators and criminologists of the Investigative Committee began to inspect the scene. All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

On the same day, it was reported that three workers died at a construction site in the south of Moscow. According to preliminary data, two workers fell into a 5 m deep well with methane and lost consciousness. Another worker went to rescue his colleagues and also stayed at the bottom. Rescuers arrived and retrieved the bodies of the dead from the well.
