In the activities of Angara Airlines, the An-24 aircraft of which crashed in the Amur region on July 24, violations of air legislation were revealed during an on-site inspection of Rostransnadzor in June. This follows from the documents of the Federal Air Transport Agency, which were reviewed by Izvestia.
Thus, violations were found in terms of maintenance without compliance with technology, failure to comply with airworthiness directives in accordance with the established procedure, as well as in the performance of maintenance by personnel who do not have appropriate training.
At the same time, the aircraft were allowed to fly. According to the results of the inspection, which was initiated after the airline's An-24 was rolled out at Kiriyensk Airport with a broken front landing gear on May 26, eight aircraft were temporarily suspended from operation, and four engineering and technical personnel were also temporarily suspended from performing maintenance work, follows from a letter from Alexander Prokhodtsev, Deputy head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, to the managing director of Angar.s" To Vladimir Zabolotsky.
A meeting on taking additional measures to eliminate violations was scheduled for July 24. The airline had to submit a plan to eliminate the identified violations, a report on the causes and measures taken to prevent them.
A source familiar with the situation told Izvestia that the airline was planning to revoke the aircraft maintenance organization's certificate.
