The Economist called the law on NABU and SAP Zelensky's strategic mistake

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made a strategic mistake by signing the law on limiting the powers of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO). This was reported on July 24 by The Economist magazine.

"With indecent haste, Zelensky signed the new law on the same day it was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada and adopted by it. But this is not just a bad law, it is a gross strategic mistake," the newspaper reports.

As the magazine notes, the law has become a direct threat to international support that helped Ukraine in the conflict.
