The Metropolitan Tourism Committee organizes free guided tours for veterans of the Special Military Operation (SVO) and their families. Participants visit iconic places in Moscow and the Moscow region, getting to know their history and architecture thanks to professional guides. More than 30 excursions have already been conducted within the framework of the project, in which 587 people took part. The program is available to veterans undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in Moscow hospitals, and their loved ones.
Among the places visited by tourists within the framework of the project: the Spaso-Borodinsky Monastery (Mozhaisk district), the Main Temple of the Armed Forces in Patriot Park, the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, the historical center of Moscow (from Kamergersky Lane to Varvarka), the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Yasenev, the Pokrovsky Monastery (relics of the Blessed Matrona) and others.
