The negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul were constructive and result-oriented. This was announced on July 24 by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the social network X (Ex. Twitter).

"Overall, we are pleased to note that the negotiations are progressing in a more constructive and result—oriented direction," he said.

The diplomat expressed gratitude to both sides for their trust in the country and the Turkish President. At the same time, he pointed out the need to be patient with the negotiation process. It is noted that the Russian Federation and Ukraine have added "another brick" to the process of resolving the current situation.

"Our country, which has been striving to solve the problem since the first day of the conflict, will continue to work to establish lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine," Fidan concluded.

The third round of negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict ended on the evening of July 23. The meeting of the delegations took place in the Chiragan Palace in a closed format and lasted about an hour. The head of the Russian delegation, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, expressed hope for a fourth round of negotiations.

He also noted that the positions of the parties on the memoranda are currently far from each other. Also, in order to save time and money, Russia has proposed to Ukraine to create three working groups that will negotiate online.
