The Egyptian Ambassador to the Russian Federation announced the completion of his diplomatic mission in Moscow.

Egyptian Ambassador to Russia Nazih Naghari is completing his diplomatic mission in Moscow. The diplomat said this during the Egyptian National Day event in the capital on July 23.

"I am preparing to complete my mission," Nagari said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

At the same time, the ambassador clarified that Russian-Egyptian contacts are in the nature of a comprehensive strategic partnership, and this is confirmed by projects in the industrial and energy sectors.

Earlier in the day, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko received Austrian Ambassador to Russia Werner Almhofer in the capital in connection with the upcoming completion of his diplomatic mission in the country. It was noted that during the meeting the parties discussed the current state of Russian-Austrian relations and touched upon a number of practical bilateral issues.
