The thematic sphere "Pets" appeared in the project "City of Ideas"

A category of topics for pet owners has appeared in the capital's City of Ideas project. Users can share initiatives to create a comfortable environment for their pets, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.

The new direction was created due to the interest of Muscovites in keeping pets in the metropolis, the deputy mayor noted. According to her, earlier proposals in this area came to other sections, 43 of them have already been implemented. "For example, at the request of the townspeople, modern playgrounds for pets have been set up in the areas of Novokosino, Severnoye Tushino, Yuzhnoye Butovo," Sergunina noted.

In particular, in the new section, residents of the capital can tell where they would like to see additional areas for walking dogs and how to make public spaces even more comfortable.

Today, a modern pet infrastructure is being actively created and developed in the capital, Sergunina emphasized. For example, starting in 2021, dozens of new playgrounds with training equipment and recreation areas have been opened as part of the Pets in Moscow project. The design takes into account the wishes of the residents and the recommendations of the experts of the Russian Cynological Federation.

The Pets in Moscow project is being implemented as part of the My District program of the Mayor of the capital. It is aimed at creating comfortable living conditions throughout the capital — from comfortable courtyards and parks to modern infrastructure facilities near the house.
