New drones will patrol the forests of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

The fleet of unmanned aircraft of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will be replenished with 11 aircraft-type drones. miniSIGMA devices are manufactured by a local company, the press service of the regional Ministry of Digital Development reports.

The devices are electric aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing, with a wingspan of 3 m. They can stay in the air for up to two hours and travel up to 140 km. They run on battery power, and the drone's assembly and configuration does not exceed half an hour.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the company creates most of the components for such large devices right on the spot. The drones will be used for forestry needs. Currently, 59 drones are already in use in the industry.

Personnel training for UAV control is also underway. 17 special zones are being created in the region for the safe flight of drones for educational purposes.

In addition, Transbaikalia has received a quota for specialized training of employees of the forestry departments of the regional Forest Fire center and Forest Protection within the framework of the national project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems".

Earlier in July, Izvestia reported that Russian scientists had developed a universal simulator for drones that could simulate any real situation in flight. The data generated by him is necessary for training neural networks that control drones in situations where the operator cannot control the operation of the device.
