The case of organizing illegal migration was initiated after a fire in the center of Moscow

A criminal case on unsafe services and the organization of illegal migration was initiated after a fire on Mytnaya Street in the south of Moscow, in which one person was killed and 11 injured. This was announced on Wednesday, July 23, by the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the capital.

"Investigators and criminologists of the capital's Investigative Committee additionally examined the scene of the incident. The investigation has studied the circumstances and living conditions of the persons in the apartment," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is clarified that after additional verification, the actions of the organizers of the stay were qualified under paragraph "b" of part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person by negligence") and paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Criminal Code ("Organization of illegal migration committed by a group of persons prior agreement").

The fire on Mytnaya Street in Moscow occurred on the night of July 23. Two apartments and a balcony in the building caught fire, and 15 people were evacuated. As a result of the incident, one resident was killed, 11 more people were injured. Later, a criminal case was opened on causing death by negligence, and a pre-investigation check was organized.
