A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. At the same time, the Vostok group of forces continued to advance deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and the Center group units improved their tactical position.

"The units of the Southern Group of Forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of two mechanized, mountain assault, and airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Zvanovka, Serebryanka, and Alexandro-Kalinovo of the Donetsk People's Republic," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), artillery and missile troops of the Russian army hit an enterprise of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, a drone assembly shop, control points for long-range drones, fuel depots and rocket and artillery weapons, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian formations and foreign mercenaries in 149 areas.

The Air Defense Forces shot down six guided aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket (MLRS), a long-range guided missile "Neptune", as well as 256 aircraft-type UAVs.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 664 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 71,978 drones, 622 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,305 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,581 MLRS combat vehicles, 27,725 field artillery and mortars, as well as 38,596 units of special military vehicles.
