An abandoned lavender field caught fire in the village of Andrusovo in Crimea. The fire engulfed an area of 4 hectares, the press service of the Republican Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on Wednesday, July 23.

The fire occurred the night before. Firefighters were helped to cope with the fire by forestry staff and volunteers. Additional equipment was provided by the local administration, writes IA SevastopolMedia.

A few days earlier, dead wood on an area of 40 hectares caught fire in the Simferopol region of Crimea. The landscape fire was eliminated without transferring the fire to the settlement.
