Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Syrsky refused to answer the question about the availability of ATACMS missiles in reserve for the Ukrainian army in an interview with The Washington Post. The newspaper reported this on July 23.

"Syrsky declined to comment on whether powerful ATACMS remained in Ukraine, although, by all accounts, their stocks have run out," the article says.

According to Syrsky, the delivery of a new batch of American missiles will help the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"The presence of any missile weapon in itself is a deterrent," he added.

Earlier, on July 14, at a meeting at the White House with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, US President Donald Trump said that the United States and the European Union had reached an agreement on the supply of weapons to Ukraine. The American leader stressed that the weapons will be manufactured in the United States, but they will be paid for by European countries.

In addition, Trump announced that Washington was considering the possibility of transferring 17 Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Kiev. He noted that the weapons will be supplied by the EU states, and the United States will replenish their arsenals.

On July 21, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans noted that the country would contribute to the initiative to supply American Patriot systems to Ukraine. He also said that the Netherlands would increase its support for the transfer of ammunition for the F-16 and other weapons to strengthen air defense.
