A post for monitoring the purity of the air will appear in the suburbs of Krasnoyarsk

A stationary monitoring post for atmospheric air pollution will appear in the urban-type settlement of Yemelyanovo (Krasnoyarsk Territory). The facility will be installed in October, said Yulia Gumenyuk, Deputy Minister of Ecology of the region.

The post will detect several types of pollutants in the air. These are carbon monoxide, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and dioxide.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the contractor and the regional monitoring center are currently completing preparatory work.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote how big business helps purify the air in Krasnoyarsk. Old thermal power plants are being renovated in millennia, electric vehicle charging stations are being installed, and the private sector is being encouraged to switch to electric heating.
