The deputy of the AFD pointed to the reason for Kiev's pressure on NABU
The Kiev regime is putting pressure on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), as it fears investigations into its own embezzlement. This was stated on July 23 by Gunnar Lindemann, deputy of the German Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, in an interview with Izvestia.
"NABU has launched an investigation against some politicians in Ukraine to ask them where their money and wealth came from. <...> They (Ukrainian politicians. They don't want to participate in the anti—corruption investigation, so they are sending special services to stop the fight against corruption," he said.
The politician also drew attention to the fact that Ukraine receives millions of euros from the European Union (EU) and the United States in cash and through weapons. In this context, it can be noted that many Ukrainians living in Europe have "become very rich" — they have expensive cars and money, the origin of which is unknown, Lindemann noted.
The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, signed a law on depriving NABU and SAP of independence earlier that day.
There have been mass protests against the law on the limitation of the powers of departments in the country. One of the posters at the rally in the city said that Zelensky's law was a "capitulation to corruption."
