Tour operators named the most unusual requests of rich travelers
Rich Russian tourists spend an average of 2 to 6 million rubles on buying foreign tours, industry representatives told Izvestia. One of the most expensive trips purchased this year from Russian tour operators was a trip to the Maldives for eight tourists for 28 days in the Maldives — they paid $466 thousand for it, that is, 36 million rubles, representatives of the tour operator Pac Group said.
At the same time, tour operators often organize leisure time for clients, fulfilling their most unusual requests. In particular, among the unusual requests from tourists, the head of the online B2C department "Fly down.ru" Elena Kalinina highlighted a corporate trip to Turkey with training from the Michelin chef, as well as the mandatory location of the hotel near the filming location of the series "Kingfisher".
"The client wanted to see the process from the outside, the tourist only knew the filming dates," she said.
Another unusual request from the clients was to find a hotel where the wedding of the Spitz could be held, Elena Kalinina recalled. The "groom" was a famous thoroughbred Pomeranian from Russia, the "bride" was from Germany.
Commercial Director of the author's tours marketplace YouTravel.me Valery Britaus added that their company's original requests include a tour of the filming locations of Indian films and Turkish TV series.
"Fans of The Magnificent Century and Knock on My Door ordered photo shoots in historical costumes and filming locations, as well as TV series—themed quests," he added.
