- Successful regional AI implementation practices will become standard solutions for the subjects of the Russian Federation
Successful practices in the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in regional management will serve as a prototype for the development of universal standard solutions in other regions of Russia. This was stated to Izvestia by Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation.
"As part of the national project "Data Economics and Digital Transformation of the state", universal standard solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies are being developed in Russia for system implementation in regional management. The prototype of such solutions are already existing successful regional practices that will be hosted on a single digital platform," Grigorenko said.
According to him, among such practices will be the development of a universal solution for remote monitoring of economic activity. Using this method, it will be possible to monitor the regulatory status of facilities, analyze negative consequences, and detect, recognize, and detect illegal facilities.
Grigorenko added that in June 2025, a new project office was opened on the basis of the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation. The Center for the Development of Artificial Intelligence coordinates the implementation and development of AI technology in Russia, it will also provide expert and analytical support, development of methodologies and standards.
The Center for Expertise of educational programs, opened on the basis of the Analytical Center, will solve the issues of staffing. So, since the beginning of 2025, two competitions have been held, according to the results of which 22 universities were selected, where they will begin to train highly qualified specialists in the field of AI, as well as 26 universities that will train professionals for the IT field.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on March 12 that in order to achieve the country's technological sovereignty, it is necessary to invest in AI research. According to him, the federal budget provides financing for the implementation of measures in this area, largely thanks to representatives of the New People faction.
