Almost 2.6 thousand people suffered from tick bites in the Tula region

Since the beginning of the season, almost 2.6 thousand people have suffered from tick bites in the Tula region. Over the past week, 225 people have applied to doctors.

According to TSN24, most cases of pest infestation are registered in residential areas, as well as in horticultural associations. There are 774 children among the injured.

More than 2.4 thousand ticks taken from humans, as well as 704 ticks collected in the environment, were received for research in the laboratory. Borreliosis was tolerated by 14.4% of the pests. Another 7.5% of ticks suffered from anaplasmosis.

Doctors note that anaplasmosis manifests itself as general weakness, fever, dizziness and nausea. Borreliosis affects the joints, nervous system, and heart. Encephalitis affects the nervous system and can cause inflammation of the brain.
