The State Duma introduced a bill on conscription for military service during the calendar year

Andrei Kartapolov, Chairman of the State Duma's Defense Committee, and his first deputy, Andrei Krasov, have submitted to the House of Parliament a bill to change the approach to conscription of Russian citizens for military service.

The draft law proposes to establish that conscription of citizens for military service is carried out during the calendar year (from January 1 to December 31) on the basis of a presidential decree.
