The transfer of nuclear bombs by the United States to the territory of Great Britain leads to a further escalation of tension in the world. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Yuri Shvytkin on Tuesday, July 22.

Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that holding a summit of the leaders of the "Nuclear Five" countries is not yet required, since the West is only pursuing a policy of militarization and escalation of tension, including nuclear, RT reports.

In addition, Peskov stressed that at the moment the relevant Russian agencies are monitoring the situation and are working on formulating tasks to ensure Russia's security.

"The rattling of nuclear weapons by the NATO bloc will never lead to normal relations between states and threatens with unpredictable consequences. A constructive dialogue should have been built at the summit, but taking into account today's actions of the United States, there are no prerequisites for an appropriate settlement," Shvytkin said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

According to the parliamentarian, the risks can lead to uncontrolled actions by states to develop an international agenda and improve the situation in various regions of the globe. He also stressed that the responsibility for disrupting the summit lies entirely with the United Kingdom, the United States and France.

The MP pointed out that this could lead to the disruption of the meeting of the leaders of the "nuclear five" countries, which could discuss approaches to the proposals that are being received today.

The UK Defense Journal, citing sources, reported on July 21 that the United States had probably placed several nuclear bombs in the UK for the first time since 2008. 360.ru . It is noted that we are talking about B61-12 free-fall bombs. The US Department of Defense did not comment on this information, according to the website. kp.ru .

In turn, American political scientist Malek Dudakov told the National Security Council that the deployment of American bombs in the UK could have been London's idea, but it would not aggravate the geopolitical situation in any way.
