For the first time in 27 years, Russian synchronized swimmers failed to win gold at the World Aquatics Championships in group exercises. At the Singapore competition on July 22, the athletes took second place.
Elizaveta Minaeva, Anastasia Bakhtyreva, Daria Geloshvili, Evelina Simonova, Anna Andrianova, Elizaveta Smirnova, Ekaterina Kossova and Agnia Tulupova scored 300.6183 points.
The Chinese athletes won, they scored 307,8001 points. The third place was taken by the team from Spain (294,8575).
