Zenit FC's budget for the 2024/2025 season has reached 20 billion rubles

The budget of Zenit Football Club (FC) for the 2024/2025 season will amount to 20 billion rubles. This was reported by RBC Sport on July 22, citing sources.

It is specified that the budget of the St. Petersburg club is the largest among all Russian teams.

"The financial plan, including the infrastructure costs of the Gazprom Arena, the sports base and the academy, for this season is about the same," a source in Zenit's press service said.

He noted that the club's budget is influenced by both advertising and sponsorship revenues, as well as revenue from transfer activities. According to RBC Sport, Zenit's general sponsor can invest up to 5 billion rubles in the team.

According to the reports of the Russian Football Union (RFU), by the end of 2024, the club's operating expenses amounted to almost 21 billion rubles, and revenues — slightly more than 25 billion. A year earlier, the figures were lower, but St. Petersburg residents also remained in the black: operating expenses — about 16 billion, and revenues — 17.5 billion rubles, adds Sport-Express.
