A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. In addition, missile forces, tactical aviation, artillery and attack drones of the Russian army hit the training sites for drone operators, storage depots and drone assembly shops, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian formations, nationalists and foreign mercenaries in 143 districts.

Air defense systems shot down 259 aircraft-type drones and two guided long-range Neptune missiles.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 664 aircraft, 71,722 unmanned aerial vehicles, 27,710 field artillery and mortar guns, 622 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1,577 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 24,297 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 283 helicopters, 38,560 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
