The Russian State Duma has adopted an amendment on the right of civilian wives of deceased participants in a special military operation (SVO) to benefits provided they live together for three years, as well as have a child together. The relevant amendments were posted on the website of the lower house of Parliament on July 22.
The changes relate to the second reading of the draft law on the establishment of a single period for the payment of benefits to family members of fallen soldiers of the SVO.
As part of the initiative, widows of military personnel can be provided with social support measures for running a common household at the time of signing a contract for military service, including for mobilization.
At the same time, it is not allowed to establish the fact of living and living together between persons who were married at the time of the death of a participant in a special operation and close relatives.
Earlier in the day, the State Duma adopted a bill at the plenary session in the second and third readings, which provides that the spouses of deceased participants in their military operations can use their vehicles before issuing a certificate of inheritance.
