VTB assessed the demand for pay services

Since the beginning of the year, users of VTB's pay service have made 100 million payments using smartphones worth 70 billion rubles. This was announced by a representative of the bank.

"The growing popularity of VTB Pay proves that technological payment methods are becoming more and more in demand," said Alexey Okhorzin, Advisor to VTB's Deputy President and Chairman of the Management Board.

According to the bank's calculations, users of the pay service make 15% more purchases on average. The launch of an additional category of cashback for payments using the service tripled the number of transactions in two months. The service is most often used for payment in supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, gas stations and pharmacies.

"This confirms that modern features and profitable offers directly influence customer behavior and stimulate their transition to digital payment services," Okhorzin believes.
