When talking to children, phone scammers usually resort to several phrases by which they can be recognized.

"To protect your family from the actions of telephone criminals, remember the code phrases of the attackers: "your parents are suspected of a crime," "turn on the camera to conduct a search," "you need to declare money and valuables," "you are helping the investigation," RIA Novosti quoted a fragment from the materials of the Interior Ministry on July 22.

When trying to deceive minors, malefactors may pose as employees of government agencies or educational organizations. Law enforcement officers also warned against performing any actions at the request of strangers related to clicking on links, accessing banking applications, as well as voicing card numbers and codes from messages.

"If they ask for money online or on the phone, threaten, promise gifts, immediately tell your parents or a loved one," the department concluded.

On July 21, in Moscow, a pensioner transferred more than 20 million rubles to fraudsters and lost her apartment. It is noted that in April of this year, a 74-year-old Muscovite answered a call from a stranger who introduced himself as an employee of Rosfinmonitoring. On his instructions, the woman withdrew 1 million rubles from the account, which she transferred to an unknown person in an attempt to protect herself from a "fraudulent attack."
