Lada Iskra cars from the first batch, which arrived at dealerships, have already been sold. This was reported on July 21 by Quto with reference to the press service of AvtoVAZ.

"All the cars from the first batch have been sold. Dealers are currently accepting orders for new supplies," the representatives of the car company noted.

AvtoVAZ also denied a rumor that the manufacturer allegedly announced a recall campaign involving Lada Iskra, which is why buyers cannot pick up paid cars from dealer showrooms. This information is not true, the company said.

Sales of Lada Iskra started on July 20 in Tolyatti, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Delivery to dealers in other regions is expected within a few weeks. The Iskra sedan costs from 1.25 million rubles in the basic configuration with a manual transmission. The most expensive modification of the model, the raised SW Cross station wagon in the maximum configuration with a CVT, was estimated at 1.8 million rubles.

On June 11, it was reported that Lada Iskra received the highest score based on the results of crash tests conducted according to the standards of the ARCAP methodology developed by experts of the Autoreview publication. This is a more stringent standard than that provided for by certification tests in accordance with the requirements of Russian legislation.
