The number of passenger cars has been calculated in Russia

The size of the passenger car fleet in Russia reached 46.56 million units in the first half of 2025. On July 21, an auto expert and ex-president of the Russian Automobile Dealers Association (ROAD) told about this in his Telegram channel. Oleg Moseev.

Compared to December last year, the number of registered cars in the country increased by 1.28%. The trend to increase the fleet remains, the analyst noted.

The five leaders in fleet growth included the Far Eastern (3.3%), Southern (3%), North Caucasus (2.2%), as well as Siberian (1.6%) and Volga (0.9%) federal districts.

The share of Chinese cars in the fleet reached 5.9% and amounted to 2.73 million units. Among the brands from China, Chery is the leader in terms of passenger cars in Russia with 582.7 thousand cars. Next are Haval (502.1 thousand units) and Geely (467.1 thousand units).

Earlier, on July 15, it became known that following the results of the first half of 2025, the Haval Jolion model became the bestseller in the SUV segment (crossovers and SUVs) in Russia. In January-June, 25.6 thousand units were sold in the country. Jolion, the model topped the rating by a solid margin from its closest competitors. The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max crossover is in second place with an indicator of 19.7 thousand units.
