The UK has transferred $200 million worth of air defense systems and shells to Ukraine.

The United Kingdom has transferred air defense and artillery shells to Ukraine, the amount of which is 150 million out of 700 million pounds planned for this year ($200 million out of $ 940 million). This was announced on July 21 on the official website of the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom.

"At least 700 million pounds of this support should be spent this year on air defense and artillery ammunition, including the 150 million pounds already supplied," the publication says.

The financing will also be directed to the purchase of drones, important contracts for the maintenance and repair of British weapons, which have already been provided to Ukraine.

According to British Defense Minister John Healey, London agrees to participate in the implementation of US President Donald Trump's plan to purchase American weapons for Ukraine.

"The UK government supports this policy, and we will fully contribute to its success in order to support Ukraine's immediate struggle and support our own and broader European security," Healy was quoted as saying by the ministry.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense also confirmed that a new agreement with Germany will soon be announced related to the purchase of additional missiles for air defense systems. Germany will allocate over 170 million euros for this purpose.
