On July 21, Russian synchronized swimmers Maya Doroshko and Tatiana Gaidai took third place in the duet technical program at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore. For the first time since 2001, Russia was left without gold medals at the World Cup in duet competitions.
The duo from Russia scored 300.2183 points for the performance. The victory was won by Austrians Anna-Maria Alexandri and Airini-Marina Alexandri, who scored 307.1451 points. The silver went to Chinese women Yanhan Lin and Yanjun Lin (301,4057).
