The Supreme Court of Tatarstan granted the claim of the prosecutor's office and decided to recover more than 437 million rubles from the former head of the administration of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts of Kazan, Sergei Mironov, and his relatives. The relevant information was published on the official website of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation on July 21.
According to the agency, the former civil servant has registered 45 real estate properties for himself and his relatives. In addition, Mironov sold eight pieces of real estate acquired with unconfirmed income, and received money from renting out non-residential premises.
"The prosecutor's office filed a statement of claim with the court for the transfer of 45 real estate objects to the income of the Russian Federation, recovery of the equivalent value of eight alienated real estate objects, as well as income received as rent for non—residential premises, totaling over 437 million rubles," the statement said.
It is noted that a criminal case has been opened against Mironov under paragraphs "e" and "c" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — abuse of official authority. The Prosecutor General's Office clarified that the official had previously been dismissed at the request of the department "due to loss of trust," adds "Газета.Ru ".
On July 11, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit for 924 million rubles against Rustem Zainullin, Deputy Governor of the Belgorod Region, and several others accused of fraud during the construction of fortifications on the border with Ukraine.
