Number of injured in Bangladesh plane crash rises to 50

At least 50 people suffered various injuries and burns when a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed and subsequently caught fire on the college grounds in Dhaka, the capital. This was reported by the Dhaka Tribune on July 21.

"More than 50 people were taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery after the crash of a training aircraft in Uttar, Dhaka. Their identities have not yet been established, but most of them are students," the report says.

It is reported that the fire department has confirmed at least one death as a result of the incident. Rescue operations are continuing at the scene.

A training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed in Dhaka earlier in the day. It was noted that the plane crashed at the entrance to the Milestone College. Shortly after the crash, the aircraft caught fire.
