The possibility of holding a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American Leader Donald Trump in China as part of a visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping cannot be ruled out. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing on July 21.

"We are preparing for [Putin's trip to Beijing], it is indeed on the agenda, but we have not heard that Trump will be there. If it so happens that he will also be there, then it cannot be ruled out that the question of the expediency of holding a meeting will be raised," Peskov said.
