In St. Petersburg, the FSB detained a man for collecting information for the Ukrainian special services.

FSB officers have detained a Russian citizen suspected of transferring data to the special services of Ukraine. This was announced on July 21 by the press service of the FSB Directorate for the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

"As a result of the complex of operational search measures carried out, the illegal activities of a Russian citizen suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Assistance to terrorist activities") were suppressed in the interests of the Ukrainian special services," the statement said.

It is noted that the detainee collected and transmitted information about objects of the military-industrial complex (MIC) and the Ministry of Defense to the Ukrainian special services. The FSB added that the man had been taken into custody, and the necessary operational search operations were underway.

"I arrived at the coordinates I entered in the navigator, took photos and sent them," the detainee said during the interrogation.

On the same day, the FSB reported that a native of Moldova had been detained in Ryazan, and he was transmitting information about a unit of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and a defense industry company to the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine.
