In Dagestan, two people were killed in a rockfall accident on the Nizhny Khvarshini—Verkhne Khvarshini highway. This was reported on July 21 in the press service of Dagestanavtodor.

"On the 2nd km section of the Nizhne Khvarshini - Verkhne Khvarshini highway in the Tsumadinsky district, the driver of a VAZ—2110 car lost control as a result of a rockfall and tipped over into a cliff," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that two people died as a result of the incident, and one victim was taken to a medical facility to provide necessary assistance.

"There are no shortcomings in the maintenance of the road," Dagestanavtodor added.

On the same day, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that a shift bus had left the road and overturned in Yakutia. Later, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that as a result, 13 people were killed and 20 injured. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.
