Maidens of Arbat: SHAMAN sang with fans under a new video
On Sunday evening, July 20, SHAMAN fans gathered on Novy Arbat in anticipation. Hundreds of girls, girls and grandmothers got ready for the premiere of their favorite artist's music video. The video for the song "Straight to the Heart" was supposed to be presented at one of the largest media facades in the country, located on a building next to the October cinema. Maxim Fadeev wrote the song specially for the International Music Competition "Intervision". The music video was directed by Elvin Fomin. And the viewers of MUZ-TV were the first to rate the video. In the afternoon, it was shown on the TV channel and on the official accounts of the International Music Competition.
"Straight to the heart"
Applications for Intervision have already been submitted by 20 countries, including BRICS, CIS, Latin America and the Middle East. The final of the international competition will be held on September 20 at the Live Arena in Moscow. The artists will sing songs in a variety of genres and directions.
Belarus will be represented by popular singer Nastya Kravchenko, Cuba by jazz diva Sulema Iglesias Salazar, and Mustafa Saad from Egypt is known for his operatic vocals. And Dana Al-Mir from Qatar has already been singled out by Maxim Fadeev. The composer is ready to offer the artist cooperation. But, of course, a large army of fans supports the representative of Russia, SHAMAN.
The presentation of the video was attended by TV presenter Yana Churikova, music video maker Elvin Fomin and creative director of the international music competition "Intervision-2025" Andrey Razygraev. The artist arrived on Novy Arbat together with Ekaterina Mizulina. The fans chanted, "SHAMAN, SHAMAN, SHAMAN." Meanwhile, the clip was being broadcast on the screen. The fans loudly sang "Straight to the heart." SHAMAN joined the chorus on the chorus.
— When I studied at the Gnessin Academy, I often looked at these screens on Novy Arbat, but I never thought that they would show a clip for my song, — SHAMAN confessed. — Now we are increasing the pace with the Intervision team, we will work directly on the issue. We decided with the director to make it the way it will be on September 20th. So far, everything is in progress.

Prior to collaborating with SHAMAN, director Elvin Fomin shot videos for Basta, JONY, Galibri & Mavik, Khabib, Egor Creed, Stas Kostiushkin. In the industry, Fomin is known as OVEN. As the director admitted to Izvestia, he used to be a rapper, but a few years ago his career turned in a different direction. Elvin became a music video maker. Fomin is shooting his fourth video for SHAMAN. Before that, there were music videos for the songs "Soul wide open", "Alive", "Beloved woman".
Filming of the video for the song "Straight to the Heart" for Intervision took place in early July in Moscow. Fomin's team realized how much responsibility they had, because the work must comply with the format of an international competition.
In the story, SHAMAN plays a wanderer. He came to a lifeless planet in search of love. As the artist says, the story turned out to be cosmically beautiful, as well as the song itself.
"The clip is an attempt to find meaning in life,— SHAMAN believes. — But the answer is simple: the main thing is love. The visual came out cinematic, with a certain cosmic touch. It was like we could fit the whole universe into the frame. I'm sure the audience will feel it.
An alien space was recreated in the pavilion: rocks, stones, crushed stone, smoke, light. And the missing mountain landscape was displayed on the LED screens. The actor came to the set straight from a tour of the Far East. Jet lag took its toll, but responsibility comes first. SHAMAN did his best.
— I can say for sure that Yaroslav (real name SHAMAN. — Ed.) is the biggest professional," the director shared with Izvestia. — We have been working with him for a long time, and it is always more than comfortable. I wish there were more artists like that, but SHAMAN is the only one.
The singer's costume was made in his usual boho style. A jacket-robe of an original cut, a T-shirt "walk, rip", loose trousers, heavy boots, mittens. Accessories include a cross on a shoelace and a bracelet with runes on the artist's arm. The symbols represent the hero's power. His blonde sweetheart has a similar bracelet. The director got confused and used runes to enhance the rapprochement of the lovers in the video.
Elvin Fomin is sure that the idea of the video will be understandable to a foreign audience, as the team and the artist tried to convey meaning through feelings. The highlight of the video was a message to all viewers. In the last shots, the director brought out the word "love" in the languages of the Intervision participating countries. But attentive viewers noticed that they were reading this important message in complete silence.
— It would be nice if "love", "love", "amor" were played on the final chords, otherwise it's strange to read them in a frozen picture, — Elena and Valentina, SHAMAN fans with experience, shared with Izvestia.
— Although the blonde is good, but if Katya had starred in it, it would have been more plausible, — student Sergey expressed his opinion.
There were also those among the audience who did not understand the statement of the team of video creators.
— It seems to me that the plot is far—fetched, it could have been simpler and clearer, - says librarian Anna Mikhailovna. — Well, why all these bells and whistles about finding love on another planet? SHAMAN is ours, "I am Russian."
The artist's foreign car was not released from Novy Arbat for a long time. Keepsake photos, autographs and singing together are very close.
