The UK opened a criminal case after poisoning in a children's camp in the Saratov region

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case into the poisoning of children and staff of the Orlyonok camp in the Pugachevsky district of the Saratov region. This was announced on Sunday, July 19, by the press service of the regional department.

"Seven minors and two employees of one of the children's health camps applied to the medical institution. A criminal case has been opened in the regional investigation department on this fact," the Investigative Committee wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is clarified that the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the regional department of the department, Dmitry Kostin, to submit a report on the circumstances established during the initial investigative actions.

On July 18, it was reported that an outbreak of acute intestinal infection was detected in the children's health camp "Eaglet" in the Saratov region. It was clarified that during the investigation, experts took samples of drinking water and water from open reservoirs, as well as samples of food raw materials, foodstuffs and ready meals.
