The head of Astronomer left the position after the incident at the Coldplay concert
Andy Byron, CEO of the American IT company Astronomer, who was spotted in the arms of Kristin Cabot, an employee of his company, during a Coldplay concert in Boston, has resigned from his position. This was announced on July 19 by the Astronomer press service.
"Our leaders are expected to be an example in both behavior and responsibility. Recently, this standard has not been met. Andy Byron has resigned, and the board of directors has approved this decision," the press service said on LinkedIn.
It is clarified that at the moment, Pete Dejoy, co-founder and director of software products, temporarily holds the position of CEO. The company began to search for a replacement for Byron.
Meanwhile, the Axios portal writes that it is not yet known whether Cabot will be fired. She is currently on administrative leave pending the results of an official investigation, the newspaper added.
The Sun newspaper reported on July 17 that the CEO of the Astronomer IT company was accidentally spotted in the arms of his HR employee during a Coldplay concert in Boston. It was noted that his wife and children were waiting for him at home. The footage shows Byron hugging Cabot, but after the "kissing" camera was pointed at them, he tries to hide behind the barrier.
