Landscape fire in Simferopol region of Crimea eliminated
A landscape fire on an area of 40 hectares in the Simferopol region of Crimea has been eliminated. This was reported on July 19 in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
"Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea, the administration of the Simferopol district and volunteers, the landscape fire was eliminated without transferring the fire to the settlement," the department's Telegram channel says.
The cause of the fire will be determined by the investigators of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It is indicated that 170 people and 40 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
Deadwood caught fire on an area of 40 hectares along the Yevpatoria–Simferopol road earlier that day. The spread of fire is facilitated by wind and high air temperature. Traffic on the highway section was restricted. The fire was later contained and the traffic restrictions were lifted.
