Death toll from bus rollover in southern Iran rises to 15
The death toll from a bus overturning on the highway between the cities of Firuzabad and Kevar in the Iranian province of Fars has reached 15. This was announced on Saturday, July 19, by the head of the ambulance service of the region, Masoud Abed.
"According to the latest statistics, the death toll from a bus overturning on the Firuzabad–Kavar highway has reached 15 people," he was quoted as saying on the IRNA news agency's Telegram channel.
Abed also clarified that the number of victims has reached 27.
A bus overturned in southern Iran earlier in the day. It was clarified that a high-alert regime has been introduced for the uninterrupted hospitalization of the injured in Namazi, Rajai and Muslimin hospitals in Shiraz, as well as in Gham Hospital in Firuzabad. The Crisis Operations Command and the Medical Monitoring Center coordinate the provision of assistance to the victims.
