- Axios learned about the request of the head of the Mossad to the United States to help with the resettlement of Palestinians
The head of the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, David Barnea, visited Washington to ask the American side for help in resettling Palestinians from Gaza. This was reported on July 18 by the Axios portal, citing sources.
The director of Israel's Mossad intelligence service visited Washington this week to seek U.S. help and convince countries to remove hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from Gaza.
Barnea held a conversation with the US President's special envoy for the Middle East, Stephen Witkoff, during which he told him about the readiness of Ethiopia, Indonesia and Libya to participate in the resettlement of Gazans.
The publication noted that Witkoff, in turn, did not give an unambiguous answer to the request of the head of the Mossad.
On July 15, the representative of the United Nations Relief Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Adnan Abu Hasna, announced that the plan to create a so-called humanitarian city in the southern Gaza Strip, proposed by Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, is aimed at expelling Palestinians from their lands.
